It's been done.

Hello you fellow Bloggers... it is true...I have officially created my own blog.

I'll admit, I wasn't very into this whole blog thing. Once I found myself day to day checking other peoples blogs, I figured out that I'm pretty much a blogger myself. Plus, it's a good way to keep in touch with those who aren't on the facebook train.

So here it is ladies and gentlemen, my first blog entry. Another add on to my time. I don't find myself to be very creative when it comes to writing down things with stories and such, but I will do my best to be as entertaining as possible- so I guess we'll have to test it out and see. But no worries, because even if my blogs suck, I take lots of pictures to make up for it!
Let me give you a run down:

I'm Ashley. I go to BYU out in the grand place I'd like to call Provo, Utah. I will be a Junior this year! Its crazy how fast time has flown at college. But I love it out there, minus all the snow and the cold.

I'm from Alpharetta, Georgia and I absolutely love it! There is nothing like the good ol' south.

I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters and the cutest dog, Becker! I have the greatest family ever and love spending time with them!

My current obsession: The Olympics. Need I say more? There will be a post dedicated to that in the near future.

I am in love with the Atlanta Braves- yes, I am aware this isn't there year and I could go on and on about that- but I won't. Let's just say that I'm looking forward to next season.

I have had one busy summer too!

Summer started off pretty slow, as it always does- I babysat all week, did the normal summer camps for my little sister and her friends for 2 weeks, and went to Panama City Beach, FL for my brothers baseball tournament.
I also had the opportunity for the 2nd time to be an EFY counselor this summer for 3 weeks- 2 in Georgia and 1 in Florida! They are the best weeks of my summer! I love having the opportunity to help the youth of the church; they are so amazing and so strong. I could probably write pages about it and the great experiences I've had, but that would take too long.

Then I headed off to visit Hilton Head, SC for the first time with my sister, Callie and our friend Lizzie and her family. That was a treat. We had fun going to the beach, riding our bikes, and crab catching. Granted, I didnt catch one crab, but it was still fun! And we built a sweeeet sandcastle- took us about 2 1/2 hours only to find it demolished from the tide the next morning. bummer.

Then my family headed to Cooperstown, NY where my little brother, Cody had a baseball tournament. All the players are like our little brothers so its always entertaining to be around all of them. They placed 33/98 so it was pretty exciting. Except for the fact that it rained every day without fail, we managed to keep ourselves busy with food and 3 mini golf trips. It
was definitely a fun trip up there.

Then we headed to New York City for a week and did all the things a normal tourist would do- shopping, going to china town, ferry tour around the Statue of Liberty, visted a ground zero workshop, went to see Lion King on Broadway (which was the best thing I have ever seen), went to a Wax Museum, went on the Top of the Rockefellar Center, went to the Metro Museum of Art, went to a Yankees game, and attempted to get into the Regis and Kelly show- that is a story in and of itself that I don't like talking about. Bottom line- we got there in the standby line at 7 am, waited for 3 hours only to have my mom and little sister get in and Callie and I left on the streets of New York City- so we shopped. But, the trip was good overall and I was ready to get back home!

Which leads me to my latest excursion- 2 weeks after I got back home, Callie and I went to Myrtle Beach, SC with some good family friends, Paige and Curtis along with their cute new addition to the family, Calla- aka Calla Girl. She is adorable! We just got back last night and had a great time with them! From searching for the great pizza place, to hanging on the beach, to dinner at Walmart, and our nightly Frosty run to Wendy's- it was definitely a great trip.

I head out to Provo on Sunday and couldn't be more excited! It's bittersweet to leave Georgia, but I am ready to get back out there!

So that's my life as we know it! Lets hope I can bring some smiles and laughs along my new journey of blogging.
