after a long awaited 18 month mission, i was finally reunited with this best friend of mine, Miss Katelyn Stone last night in Monterey, CA at Callie's open house!
Even though it wasn't as long of a reunion as I'd like, this will do for now until August!
i sure do love her lots!
i was so happy to see her!

up and down the California Coast.

heading here today
 heading here tomorrow
for my best friends wedding this Saturday.
i won't lie, I'm going to bawl my eyes out. but I am so excited and so happy for her!
it should be a fun time in sunny California :)

y'all come back now ya hear?

The South Carolina trip was short, but sweet and SO much fun!
As soon as I got to South Carolina and was greeted by my wonderful boys, I changed, and we left to go to Katie's for a dinner the night before the wedding. It was a fun, relaxing night.
Kyle said the only thing the south could give him were fireflies. [OBVIOUSLY there is a lot more] But that night we ventured outside the house we were staying in to look for some. Carter and I saw you about a minute after we walked out, but Kyle wasn't going to believe they existed till he saw one. So we sat on our back porch for about 5 minutes and all of a sudden, Kyle is holding onto me so tight, saying "LOOK!" and sure enough, there was a firefly just lighting up constantly across the trees. He was SO excited and a happy little boy! So he was satisfied. He saw a firefly.
We get inside, and the other boys are sitting on the bed upstairs watching a movie on Cam's computer, so I joined in and shortly after Carter and Kyle did too. And that is how Cam's last night as a single man was spent. It was great.
The next morning, we headed to the temple, and they were sealed! They came out GLOWING and so happy and in love. I couldn't be any happier for the both of them.
Here is a picture of the groomsmen, plus me. [I kept telling people that if I were a boy, I'd be a groomsmen]
We had a few hours in between the wedding and reception so I took Carter and Nick to this water hole place some of the bridesmaids told us about. The water was super blue and pretty, we weren't technically allowed to be there so the boys jumped in and we left.
But we also saw this really cool old machine so we had to take a few pictures there too.

Then it was picture time for the wedding party and I had nothing better to do before the reception so I tagged along.
And then this little adventure happened.
We had to run to walmart and the house to get a few things during the reception. It took us to a Walmart that was further away so we ended up being gone for about an hour. So on our way back to the reception, we spot a cop. He clocked me going 53 in a 35. And to be completely honest, the speed limit was 45 and I didn't see a 35 sign until after I saw the cop and realized I would be pulled over.
Luckily we choose the right and I got off with a warning. I told him we aren't from here, we were late to a wedding (as he could tell from the tuxes and balloons all over the car), and I thought the speed limit was 45. Thank goodness he was a nice officer.
They got to drive off in Katie's Dad's camaro so we had to be careful when decorating the car. But they did a great job.
It was so fun to spend some time with my favorite boys and I was SO excited that they were in the South with me! I'm pretty sure that will never happen again. But I think they enjoyed themselves.
I was so glad I got to be a part of their special day. Cam has been one of my best friends since Freshman year and to see him so in love and so happy made me happy. It was a great wedding!
We sent them off with sparklers and after a few more songs we got to dance to, the party was done.
But we enjoyed our stay on Ashepoo Dr. And don't worry, I never heard the end of that one during the weekend and would be referred to that as my name by these boys. Seriously, what are the chances?
I think the humidity got to Carter's hair a little too much, don't you think?
Ok, ok, so maybe it wasn't the humidity. But I noticed the night before that his hair was SO long, but it's just so curly you don't notice. So, he allowed me to straighten his hair. What a great friend!
So the trip was a success and a lot of fun.
It was crazy that my friends were here in the South for once.
We all had a fun time together and was sad the trip was so short.
But congrats to Katie and Cam on their special day! Love you guys! :)

i'm his favorite, clearly.

earlier today I was sitting on my floor and getting on the computer for a second to check something before I ran some errands. and the puppy came up and just sat down right next to me.
and then I was packing and he was trying to give me kisses on my face.
such a loving puppy.
yep, i'm definitely his favorite.

officially official

got this bad boy in the mail.
boo yah.

so i got a little dirty helping dad out in the yard the other day.
that's a better view.
dirty, dirty, dirty.
also, have i mentioned I'm not a big fan of yard work?
news flash for ya: i'm not.

Sweet Caroline.

I am making my way to South Carolina this weekend for this dear friend of mine's wedding to Miss Katie Guilott!
and these fantastic boys will also be there. You could say I'm pretty pumped.

the summer life.

i know i'm back home when my life is surrounded by baseball.
out of the first 7 days that I have been home...I have attended:

2 of my baby brothers tournament baseball games,
(see that boy in the blue lying on the base line? don't worry, that's Cody on the ground after he popped out to end the 2nd game.. did I happen to mention it's one of my favorite pictures of him?)

and I have gone to 3 Braves games!
Game 1: Braves vs. The Nationals
Game 2: Braves vs the Phillies
they had the sweetest jersey's that day for the Civil Rights weekend games!
this game also included seeing some awesome friends,
and a free Ludacris concert after the game... yes, it was pretty epic.
Game 3: Braves vs. Astros..it was a little chilly that night so I happily busted out my Braves sweatshirt for the game!
and when I haven't been at the games, I have watched the rest of them on t.v.
What can I say? I kinda love baseball. :)

hasta la vista.

My last day of working at the Pre Professional Advisement Center was a bittersweet day after working there for over 15 months.
I have LOVED this job and have really liked my co-workers! You don't hear too often that you have enjoyed working with everyone at your office, but we were all like a little family. We had office parties, went to wedding receptions together, and I would get teased about my love with the Braves, but I would dish it right back out. Needless to say, I always looked forward to going to work.

Spring is the craziest/busiest time working there because of all the crazy med and dental students who are applying to schools. I mean, I know it's my job and all, but they come in a lot or will be calling all the time... and to be honest- sometimes these people get on my last nerve. So I was slightly relieved I don't have to deal with them this summer.

But on mine and Steve's last day of work there, we did some partying with pizza and slurpees.
We got a little creative and made a copy of all of the people who were leaving the office's name tags and posted it above the mail boxes so they wouldn't forget us. [hopefully it's still there]
Jessica had a fun time taking pictures with me on my last day there and I took a cute little picture of her from the view at my desk. I'll sure miss her!
I was SO grateful that I had the opportunity to work at this office and meet some great people!
It was a great experience for me and I hope I can find another job that I would like as much as this one!

fiesta, fiesta.

For Cinco de Mayo, I got to babysit slash party with these cute kids, the Reeve girls and the Hammond
Cinco de Mayo has always been big for my family. We always made our delicious mexican food and invited friends over for a good time. So it was obvious that I HAD to get a pinata for the kids to celebrate!
We had to get creative and hook the pinata on the basketball net and use a bungee cord too so Brookie could at least reach it. They each got to whack it twice and by the 2nd round, the candy was coming out and the kids were going crazy!
I think it's safe to say that the girls loved this fiesta of ours and had a great time.
and this little girl was partied out!
I guess I can mark off this Cinco de Mayo as a success. :)
