I can't contain my excitement...

In just 12 days, I'll be at the most beautiful place ever slash my most favorite vacation place!
This is also known as Lake Powell.
I'll be going with my family, some extended family, and some friends.
Let's just say I can hardly wait. It's been 3 years since I went so I'm reallllllly excited for all of this!

I sure do love you Lake Powell.

We Survived!

30 hours on the road... and we have made it safe and sound to Utah!

Here we are in front of my house, ready to begin at 7 am... driving till 4 am (6 am GA time)

We stopped in Denver to spend time with the family for a few days...
We went and played some intense/entertaining dodgeball that night.
And we celebrated Grandma's 74th Birthday!
She is such a babe!
And I got to spend time with the best family ever!
It's been fun to spend time with family and I am glad to finally be back out in Provo! Lot's of exciting things coming up! :)

the final days in the sweet south...

My final week at home was filled with hanging out with the family a lot, going to my favorite places to eat, and doing things you can only do in Atlanta...

I babysat my two favorite children a couple times and we headed to our new pool in our neighborhood that finally opened for 2 weeks before i left...
And of course- I had to say farewell to my Braves...

During the weekend, my family went to a place called Tallulah Gorge. Sadly the Sliding Rock was closed, but we saw pretty waterfalls and everything that surrounded us.

And we got quite the work out... went down over 500 stairs and had to go back up.
Sunday I said my goodbyes to the girls (my little sisters) I love...

Say goodbye to my puppy...

And to our friends that we've grown up with... we were all finally back together when Jake got home- but now Ty is leaving so it'll be a few years before we re-unite
I sure do love home, and I miss it and the things that make it the south. See ya in December.

island yourselves...

So this past weekend, some EFY friends and I decided to take a trip up to Hilton Head Island, SC. We decided to go somewhere other than Atlanta like we always do, plus Kaycie lives there! Her Dad also has tour boats for crabbing and sunset/dolphin cruises so we got to do that for free! It was a VERY cheap and fun weekend relaxing on the beach and being a tourist :)

The 4 girls ready for the day at the beach!

And we built the BEST sandcastle ever :)
The ladies with Frank at Rita's icecream! yummm
The next morning on the crabbing boat! Rach and Kate joined us late the night before :)

And the tallies for the day... I caught 2, however- neither of them made it into a net. One was a big crab, one was just a baby
And all the girls at the beach- attempting a jumping picture, which kinda worked. haha
And to end our fabulous weekend, we went on the Sunset/Dolphin watch cruise :)

Love ya'll! Thanks Kayc for being a fabulous hostess and for a fun weekend! :)

Results are in!

Kate has gotten her mission call! :)
She has been called to serve in the New York Rochester Mission Hill Cumorah Visitors Center!  I am so excited for her! She is going to be such an awesome missionary! She's leaving November 4th! I will definitely miss her like crazy but I am so proud of her! She is going to bless so many peoples lives in New york!
Love you Kate!

Where to even begin?

I don't know where these past few weeks have gone! It's already mid August and I leave for Provo on Monday! School starts in 2 1/2 weeks for me and school has already begun around here! It's crazy how fast time has been flying! I'm ready to get out to Utah to start up classes, go to football games, and see my friends...especially those who have returned from missions :) ! I'll be sad to leave my family and the beautiful state of Georgia.
Here are some recent things that I have been up to:
1. Warped Tour: It was my first time going and it was sooo crazy! It was insanely hot and definitely a lot of interestingpeople! It was a bunch of rocker bands that I have never heard of besides 3OH!3, The White Tie Affair, and Forever the Sickest Kids. But I really liked the ones I went to go see! It was a ton of fun and I got to spend time with some of my favorite people!
2. Braves Weekend: That weekend, some EFY Friends, Rachel, Kate, and Kaycie all came down to visit! So Rach and I met up with Kaycie and her friend, Mckell at the Braves game Friday Night. Then Saturday Rach, Kate, and I went with my family to the game. Callie also had her roommate, Rebecca in town so she was with us too! And I got to do something I've always wanted to do! Kate, Rach, and I got our faces airbrushed! I was very excited! So it was a funfilled weekend with my girls and going to the Braves Games!! :)

So it doesn't seem like much has been going on, but I've just been extremely busy! I also went on a mini vacation this past weekend, but I'll save that for another post soon! :)
